Hanna Instruments HI-771 Chlorine Ultra High Range Checker®HC Colorimeter (0 to 500 ppm)

The Hanna Instruments HI-771 Total Chlorine Ultra High Range Checker®HC is a simple, accurate and cost-effective handheld colorimeter for measuring total chlorine at ultra high levels of 0 to 500 ppm with 1 ppm resolution. Designed as a more accurate alternative to chemical test kits, the HI-771 uses an LED light source at 525 nm and a silicon photocell detector to deliver reliable colorimetric results in four easy steps. Chlorine is the most commonly used water disinfectant and accurate monitoring at high concentrations is essential in applications such as swimming pools, spas, disinfection and drinking water treatment where serious health and safety risks must be managed.

The HI-771 uses an adaptation of Standard Methods for Water and Wastewater 4500Cl. Its small palm-sized design, single-button operation and built-in timer for timed reaction readings make it straightforward to use in the field or laboratory. Auto power-off after 10 minutes of inactivity preserves battery life. The HI-771 is supplied with two cuvettes and caps, a reagent starter kit, a battery and instruction manual. Replacement reagents are available as HI-771-25 (25 tests) and a calibration check set is available as HI-771-11.
