Hanna Instruments HI-38067 Silica Test Kit with Checker Disc

The Hanna Instruments HI-38067 is a chemical test kit for determining silica concentration in water across two ranges: 0 to 40 mg/L (1 mg/L resolution) and 0 to 800 mg/L (40 mg/L resolution). Using the Heteropoly blue colorimetric method, the kit provides a simple and cost-effective way to measure silica without the need for electronic instrumentation. All required materials are included and the kit contains enough reagents to perform approximately 100 tests.

Silica is found in all natural waters in dissolved mineral form and its presence in industrial applications is undesirable due to the scaling caused by elevated temperature and pressure. High pressure turbines, heating systems and reverse osmosis plants all require regular silica monitoring to protect equipment and ensure process efficiency. The HI-38067 provides a practical on-site solution for this monitoring requirement. Replacement reagents are available separately as HI-38067-100.
